Playbox Terms and Conditions for use of the Playbox facility
1. General Information
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the booking and use of Playbox’s indoor sports facilities in Vetokuja 1, Vantaa, Finland. By making a reservation through our online platform, at our venue or any other channel, you agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Assumption of Risk, Liability and Insurance.
All activities at Playbox are undertaken at the customer’s own risk.
It is the responsibility of each user to ensure they are fit to engage in their chosen activities and take care to avoid any moving balls and wear appropriate protective equipment. Playbox is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during the use of its facilities. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they and any participants in their booking have appropriate personal insurance coverage.
Playbox reserves the right to claim for any damages caused by misuse or negligence on the part of the customer.
3. Adherence to Venue Rules and Safety Procedures
All users must adhere to Playbox’s venue rules and health and safety procedures while using the facilities. Failure to comply may result in customers being banned from the facility, with any outstanding bookings being lost without a refund. Venue rules can be found here
4. Payment Methods
Playbox offers a variety of payment options for both online and onsite transactions:
- Online bookings: Payments can be made via bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, MobilePay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay via our selected Online Payment Service Provider.
- Voucher payments schemes such as ePassi, EdenRed or Smartum.
- Onsite purchases (e.g., drinks, last-minute bookings): Payments can be made using MobilePay, by POS such as SumUp or FlatPay via credit/debit card.
All payments are securely processed through the respective payment service providers. Playbox is not liable for any third-party fees related to any transactions (e.g., bank fees or processing charges).
The selected Online Payment Service provider is Paytrail Oyj (Business ID: 2122839-7). Paytrail is a payment processing service and payment service provider working in cooperation with Finnish banks and financial institutions. Paytrail Oyj appears as the recipient on the bank statement or credit card invoice and forwards the payment to the merchant (Playbox Oy). Paytrail Oyj has a payment institution license.

5. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed. If you have made an online booking, you will receive an email confirmation detailing your reservation.
6. Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel their bookings under the following conditions:
- Cancellations made less than 5 days before the reserved time: No refund.
- No-shows: No refund will be provided.
- Cancellations due to weather conditions or force majeure events: No refund, but the customer may request to reschedule based on availability.
7. Modifications to Bookings
If you wish to modify a booking, please contact us at least 48 hours before the reserved time. Modifications are subject to availability and may incur an administrative fee.
8. Consumer Rights
Under Finnish law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to bookings for leisure services provided within a specified period. Therefore, Playbox does not offer a 14-day cancellation right for sports facility bookings.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Playbox is committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data collected during the booking process is used solely for managing reservations and payments. Your data will not be shared with third parties unless necessary to process your booking (e.g. payment processors).

10. Force Majeure
Playbox is not responsible for any failure to provide services due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, governmental restrictions, pandemics, building evacuations, power outages, water leaks, fires. In such cases, customers may reschedule their bookings based on availability and a like for like cost basis.
11. Changes to Terms
Playbox reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The updated Terms will apply to all new bookings made after the changes are posted.
